I leveraged my subscription to Purpleport again, and managed to get in touch with Lady Baltic, a very nice professional model who spends part of the year no more than 60km from where I reside in Germany.

Lady Baltic (LB from now on) explained she is pretty much in love with the sea, and likes to spend as much time as possible near of on it.

Therefore I went for :
海暮れて
鴨の声
ほのかに⽩し
(The sea darkens— a wild duck’s call faintly white.) by
by Yosa Buson

On the chest instead I consulted my Calligraphy teacher and we decided to go for
⼥船員 (sailorwoman) .

Preparation Phase

This was fairly straightforward: LB has not tattoos and the calligraphy would follow the standard scheme (haiku on the back, concept on the front)

I decided to do the front first.

There was a little "interference" because the thirds kanji has one of the strokes right on the bellybutton and its nice piercing, but things went smooth enough and I am quite happy with the result.

I am quite happy with the back, too. Notice that I changed the "formula" slightly and added a few drops of a super-dense calligraphy ink that was given to me as a present in Tokyo.
Looks like the resulting mixture results in nice black strokes.
